OYX started with two brothers, a love for good design, and a simple idea. Latvia is surrounded by forests, and wood has always been a big part of the environment we grew up in.
We wanted to take a material we know well and turn it into furniture that feels natural, practical and made for real homes.
In the beginning, OYX was small. Just two brothers making things, learning as we went and trying to build something of our own. Over time, it grew into a team of talented people and trusted partners who share the same appreciation for good craftsmanship.
A lot has changed since then, but the way we look at furniture has stayed the same.
We believe wood should still feel like wood. The grain, texture and small differences between each piece are part of what makes it special. We try to keep that character and create furniture that feels simple, honest and well made.
We don't make furniture just to follow trends. We make pieces that are meant to be used every day and kept for years.
